Product Overview

The MAVIG Portegra2 is a ceiling-mounted modular suspension platform designed for interventional radiology suites, hybrid rooms, and surgical environments where multiple devices must be positioned precisely and repositioned frequently. The system consists of ceiling tracks, stationary or track-mounted columns, extension and spring arm combinations, and a range of compatible end devices including radiation protective shields, LED surgical lamps, monitor supports, and injector holders.

In daily use, the Portegra2 functions as a unified overhead infrastructure. A single column can support one or two suspension arms simultaneously, each independently carrying equipment up to 18 kg. The patented brake mechanism locks each carriage in place along the ceiling track, while the internal safety spring and steel cable maintain connection integrity throughout the arm assembly. The system is designed to support room planning from initial layout through equipment changes over the facility's operational life, with column lengths, arm lengths, and end device configurations available across a broad range, including custom lengths on request. The Portegra2 is manufactured in Germany by MAVIG GmbH, who has been producing ceiling support and radiation protection systems since 1921. Ultraray is a certified Canadian distributor for MAVIG systems and can support customer-specific configurations.

Compatible End Devices

The Portegra2 suspension arm accepts a range of end devices from the MAVIG catalogue. Each device is ordered separately and paired with the appropriate arm weight class.

Radiation Protective Shields (OT Series) Transparent lead acrylic shields for scattered radiation protection during fluoroscopic procedures. Available in centrally and laterally guided configurations with body-shaped cut-outs for femoral and radial artery access. Shielding value: 0.50 mmPb for all shield panels.

LED Surgical Lamps (LE Series) Focusable LED examination and surgical lamps with sterilisable handles, colour rendering index up to Ra 98, and central illuminance from 50,000 to 160,000 lux. Internal or external power supply units depending on model. Service life rated at 60,000 hours minimum.

Monitor Suspension (GD Series) Single and dual monitor supports compatible with Portegra2 and Portegra2i columns. Supports monitors from 15 to 27 inches. The Portegra2i variant provides internal CAT 7 data and power cabling, eliminating external cable routing.
