Product Overview

MAVIG lower body protection systems are table-mounted radiation shields designed to support scattered radiation protection below the procedure table during interventional radiology, cardiology, and fluoroscopic procedures. They function as an integral component of a complete above-table and below-table radiation protection strategy, working alongside ceiling-suspended upper shields such as the Portegra2 OT series to address scattered radiation from all directions at the examiner's position.

The systems attach directly to the table's accessory rail via a double-jointed adapter, positioning overlapping flexible lead rubber panels between the radiation source and the examiner's lower body. The overlapping panel design allows the C-arm to move freely while maintaining continuous shielding coverage, and the double-jointed adapter keeps the system close to the table edge to minimise interference with the examiner's working posture. Panels pivot to follow table tilt of up to 15 degrees on most models, and individual panels are replaceable independently to extend service life.

The MAVIG lower body protection range covers a broad set of clinical configurations. The UT70 is the most modular option in the range, with a main section that can be combined with narrow and wide side panels to reach a total protective width of up to 1620 mm, making it suitable for procedures requiring maximum lateral coverage. The UT603x and UT69 are established full-coverage systems with overlapping panel sections and integrated upper shields. The UT6001 and UT30 address surgical table environments, while the UT58-99 provides a table-cover-based solution for tables without accessory rails. The UT5001-SI is configured specifically for the Siemens Artis zee multi-purpose table, and the UT6010/UT6020 combination is designed exclusively for Siemens Artis T-foot tables. UT69 – Lower Body Protection System A large-coverage lower body system with an intermediate double-jointed adapter and an additional protection panel, providing a total protective width of up to 800 mm below the table. The upper shield can be removed quickly for patient positioning or emergency access. Universal adapter fits table rails from 7 x 25 mm to 10 x 30 mm. Available with one or two upper shields in heights of 170 mm and 250 mm. Total weight: 27.9 kg (UT6902) or 26.9 kg (UT6904). Shielding: 0.50 mmPb.

UT30 – Modular Individual Panel System Lightweight individual radiation protective panels designed for surgical tables with height-adjustable segments where full lower body systems are impractical. Panels mount to flat section table rails from 7 x 25 mm to 10 x 30 mm and are positioned with overlapping coverage. Available in lengths of 600 mm, 750 mm, and 900 mm, each 290 mm wide. UT58-99 – Table Cover Lower Body Protection A lower body protection solution for procedure tables without accessory rails. Individual radiation protective panels attach to a table cover support sheet via hook and loop fasteners, with panel count, length, and support sheet dimensions tailored to the specific table on request. UT5001-SI – Lower Body Protection for Siemens Artis Zee Multi-Purpose Tables Specifically engineered for the Siemens Artis zee multi-purpose table using a dedicated frame construction. Includes a wide lower body side panel mountable on either side of the table, a front panel for extended below-table coverage, and four add-on attachment shields for individual positioning. All shields can be removed quickly for patient positioning or emergency access. Includes wall mounts for upper and lower components. Shielding: 0.50 mmPb.

UT6010 / UT6020 – Lower Body Protection for Siemens Artis T-Foot Tables A two-component system designed exclusively for Siemens Artis T-foot tables. The UT6010 mounts below the table to the 10 x 25 mm accessory rail and provides the base platform onto which the UT6020 side panel mounts. The combination can be installed on either side of the table. Panels accommodate table tilt of up to 15 degrees. Shielding: 0.50 mmPb.
