Product overview
The L-Block Shield with Built-In Dose Calibrator is designed to support efficient dose preparation in facilities handling high-energy radionuclides such as FDG F-18. By integrating a calibration chamber shield directly into the L-Block structure, the unit maximizes usable workspace while reducing the need for separate shielding components.
The built-in shield is designed to accommodate a calibration chamber that is through-mounted in a countertop. This configuration supports direct access to the chamber during workflow. The shield accommodates all Atomlab chambers and many other models; however, chamber specifications should be verified to confirm proper fit. Installation of the through-mounted chamber is the responsibility of the customer.
Because the dose calibrator shielding is integrated into the L-Block, facilities do not need to purchase separate interlocking shielding rings. The unit is constructed of lead encased in steel to support durability and shielding performance in high-activity environments. This product should be specified as part of a broader radiation protection strategy and coordinated with surrounding shielding and workflow requirements.
