Product overview
Ultraray manufactures mobile lead barriers in a wide range of standard sizes, each constructed with 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) lead shielding for general radiation protection needs. When higher shielding levels are required, custom barriers can be fabricated with up to 2 inches of lead to match project specifications.
Each barrier includes a lead safety glass viewing window in the upper section, allowing personnel to maintain clear sightlines during procedures. The lower portion features an opaque, lead-lined panel faced with easy-to-clean grey ABS plastic. This design supports both radiation protection and routine infection control protocols.
The barrier frame is mounted on four heavy-duty swivel casters, including two locking and two non-locking wheels, which allow controlled movement and stable positioning. Units ship fully assembled and ready for use. Mobile lead barriers should be specified as part of a broader radiation protection strategy and coordinated with room layout and shielding requirements.
