Overview:

Our client required 300,000 lbs of graphite coated lead shot meeting Canadian Nuclear Labs specifications.

Size: 0.8 – 0.12 lead shot (2.29 mm) with density of 7g/cm 3  (0.252 lb/in 3 ).”

Challenges:

Delivering 300,000 lbs of lead shot during the Covid-19 pandemic presented a logistical challenge. New safety protocols and uncertain timeframes needed to be overcome.

Solution:

Ultraray worked closely with our client’s logistics team to delivery seven truck loads (43,000 lbs each) of lead shot. The first truck arrived one month after the client initially placed their order followed by 2 truck loads per week for the next 3 – 4 weeks.

For convenient transportation and handling, the lead shot was securely stored in our super sack containers.
