When a leading player in the non-destructive testing industry in the United States needed customized lead wool blankets, they asked Ultraray to provide a solution. Instead of standard lead wool blankets they wanted their blankets to incorporate handles, enabling them to easily lift and put the blankets in place.

Ultraray, working with our partner Lancs Industries, provided the customer with 100 specialized 1’ x 4’ x 10lb lead wool blankets complete with four handles. Our lead wool blankets are manufactured with interlaced lead wool that is compacted in a random orientation to ensure consistent attenuation without streaming.
